National Agriculture Market E NAM E-Trading Portal For Farmers, National Agriculture Market, ENAM, E-Mandi, E-Trading Portal, E-agri market connecting 21 mandis from 8 states launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 14th April 2016. National Agriculture Market (NAM) is the online trading portal launched as a pilot project in 12 states that are Gujarat, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

APMC laws permit the farmers for the first sale of crops to take place only in regulated market yards or mandis and restricts the farmer’s universe of buyers to just the traders licensed to operate in the mandi under the concerned APMC’s jurisdiction. National Agriculture Market / E-NAM is a common electronic platform permits farmers to sell their crops to buyers anywhere in the country and vice versa.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched National Agriculture Market (NAM) on a pilot basis, on 14.04.2016, connecting 21 wholesale markets (mandis) from 8 states. By launching this E-trading portal / E-mandi / Enam E-market platform, farmers able to sell their agriculture production. Hon¡¯ble Prime Minister launched the Agriculture E-market trading portal from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi between 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
NAM scheme was approved on 01.07.2015 with a budgetary allocation of Rs 200 crores with main objective is to link 585 regulated markets with the common e-platform by 2018 in order to get best prices to the farmers. The government has listed 25 commodities, including wheat, maize, chana, jowar, bajra, potato and cotton to be traded with NAM.
