Telangana State Government has officially announced Telangana New Districts names are Manchiryal, Nirmal, Kumuram Bheem (Asifabad), Jagityal, Peddapalli, Rajanna (Sircilla), Warangal Urban, Warangal Rural, Jayashankar (Bhoopalpalli), Janagaon, Mahaboobabad, Bhadradri (Kothagudem), Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vanaparthi, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba (Gadwal), Suryapet, Yadadri, Vikarabad and Medcha. Beginning Dasara Day 2016, Telangana to have 21 new districts from today and the number of districts in the state goes up to 31 from 10.

Telangana New Districts Mandals ListTwo years after formation of telangana state, 21 new districts formed and total 31 districts formed from 11.10.2016. The final list has been drawn up following a six-month long hectic exercise that witnessed several additions and deletions to the final list. The reorganisation of districts was done as part of a massive exercise undertaken by the state government to revamp administrative units.

Telangana Chief Minister Sri. K. Chandrasekhar Rao formally inaugurated Siddipet district at 11.13 a.m., on 11.10.2016. Siddipet is the home district of the Chief Minister and carved out of Medak district. The main objective in creation of new districts that it will help the administration focus better on developmental activities in the interiors.

Telangana state, which came into existence on June 2, 2014 as the 29th State of India, started out with 10 districts. Onthe auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dasami, on 11.10.2016, 21 new districts come into existence in Telangana. With these 21 new districts, the total number of districts in TS state gone up to 31.

The 21 new districts names are Manchiryal, Nirmal, Kumuram Bheem (Asifabad), Jagityal, Peddapalli, Rajanna (Sircilla), Warangal Urban, Warangal Rural, Jayashankar (Bhoopalpalli), Janagaon, Mahaboobabad, Bhadradri (Kothagudem), Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vanaparthi, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba (Gadwal), Suryapet, Yadadri, Vikarabad and Medcha.

The government is also reorganising mandals (a low-level division of a district) and other administrative units. Following the creation of the new districts, the state will have 25 new revenue divisions, 125 new mandals, four new police commissionerates, 23 new police sub-divisions, 28 new police circles and 91 new police stations.
