Telangana Free Inter Education Government Junior Colleges from 2015-16 Go Issued on 07.1.2016.  TS GO 2 dated 07.01.2016 issued for Providing of Free Education at +2 Stage in Government Junior Colleges in the State from the Academic Year 2015-16 on wards. The details are as follows:

TS Free Inter in Govt Jr Colleges from 2015-16 Orders:

402 Government Junior Colleges functioning in Telangana State and 1,15,111 students studied Intermediate Education in Government Junior Colleges in 2014-15, out of which, nearly 80% of the students are from weaker sections such as S.C., S.T., B.C., and Minorities. It is observed that Government is first collecting various Fees from the students and then reimbursing the amounts to the SC/ST/BC/Minority students by way of Scholarships. Thus this places unnecessary burden on the students from the weaker section families. The various Fees collected are made available to the Colleges for utilizing these amounts for various contingency expenditures.

Thus, to rectify this situation and to strengthen the Government Junior Colleges in the State, the Commissioner of Intermediate Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad  constituted a Committee to examine this issue and give their recommendations.
